Earlier today, we finalized the tentative deployment schedule for MyEducationBC within our school district. In our recent blog posting, we gave some of the timelines (which are very tight when we think about the number of schools and programs that have to move over). It is also important to note that our timelines are also very dependent on development work that is happening at the provincial level. As such, our district deployment schedule is subject to change. As things stand now, we are planning on the following order when deploying MyEducationBC:
- Between April 1 and June 30, 2014 – Belmont and EMCS secondary schools
- Between October 1 and December 31, 2014 – Dunsmuir, Spencer, Journey Middle Schools
- Between January 1, 2015 and December 31, 2015 – All elementary schools (including John Stubbs)
- Between October 1 and December 31, 2015 – All alternate schools
One question has arisen regarding IEP Central. Our latest information is that this product will no longer be hosted in North Vancouver after the end of the current school year. While our plans are still in development, our hope is that we will host the software here within our school district. This will allow us to continue using the product uninterrupted. While these plans have yet to be finalized, our hope is that we can provide you with more details about this soon.
